What kind of wood should I burn?
Use kiln-dried hardwood logs (≤20% moisture) for a clean, efficient burn. Avoid painted, treated or resinous woods. Fuel usage varies, but expect to use a few bundles of quality logs per heat-up, depending on the season and tub size.
Can I use it all year round—even in winter?
Yes. Wood-fired tubs are perfect in cold weather. Just keep the lid on when not in use, and drain the tub if freezing conditions are forecast and you’re not using it, to protect fittings.
Do I need chemicals or a filter?
For occasional use, many owners simply change the water regularly and keep the tub clean.
Do I need electricity?
Not for heating. Wood-fired tubs run on logs. Electricity is only needed for LED lighting, air and water jets.
Is it safe for children?
Children can use the tub under close adult supervision. Keep them away from the stove and chimney, and always check the water temperature.
How do I clean and drain the tub safely?
Ensure the stove is fully cooled before draining to avoid damage. Empty the water, brush internal surfaces with a mild soap solution, rinse, and refill. Hot tubs should be drained for cleaning every 3-4 days.
Stove upkeep
Empty ash once cool, check door seals, and clean the flue/chimney periodically for good draw. Burn only dry hardwood. The ash can be composted or used in the garden as a fertiliser.
Protecting the lid and accessories
Rinse and air-dry the lid, don’t stand or place heavy items on it, and check hinges/straps. Inspect steps and shelves routinely for tight fixings
How often should I change the water?
For occasional use without chemicals, refresh after each use. With filters/chemicals, follow the guidance in your manual and test regularly.
How do I drain the water?
The hot tub has a bung in the bottom and a drain tap outside for draining.
What is the typical delivery time?
In‑stock tubs: usually 1–3 working days across England. Custom builds: see the lead‑time on each product page; however, approximately 4-6 weeks.
What access do you need?
A clear, level route to the final spot. Please tell us about narrow gates, steps, gravel, tight turns, or steep slopes so we can plan the right equipment.
How heavy is the hot tub when it arrives?
Dry weight varies by model (often 120–250 kg). We recommend having 4-6 fit and able people present to lift the tub into position upon delivery.
Do I need a prepared base?
Yes—a level, solid base that supports the filled weight (often 1.5–2.5 tonnes). Concrete, paving, or properly supported decking are typical. Avoid bare lawn or soft ground.
Can I customise colours and add features?
Yes—choose inside/outside colours on the hot tubs in stock. Additionally, you can fully customise a hot tub according to your needs in the Build Your Tub page.
What payment options do you accept?
You pay securely online. For custom builds, a deposit or staged payment may apply—see checkout or contact us for details.
Can I change my order after purchase?
Minor changes may be possible before production/dispatch. Custom orders can’t be altered once in production—contact us as soon as possible.
What’s included in the price?
Each product page lists what’s included (e.g., stove, chimney sections, drain, basic accessories). Optional upgrades are shown as add-ons.
